Cake is one of the sweetest items that everyone would love to have. They are usually bought on special occasions in my home and I do like cakes with different flavours. I remember when I was about to turn 18 years old, my dad bought me a cake on my birthday. We had a family get together that day.
It was a delicious cake and one of my favourites – a Spanish delight cake. The speciality of this cake is that it has a smooth frosting with caramelised nuts filled in it. It has a smooth texture as it is soaked in special Spanish delight syrup.
There is a famous bakery in my hometown. My dad went there to buy this cake but he was unable to get the cake, as the baker was unable to bake such a cake in a limited time period. So my dad took my younger brother and they both did not let me and my mom know about the surprise they had planned. They informed us that they were going to buy a football jersey for my sibling. They went to the town to fetch the cake. Fortunately, they got the cake and they came home in the evening with our close family members – my uncle, my aunt and my cousins. I was startled by seeing all of them. Suddenly my dad came to me and asked me to get dressed up.
At such a surprising evening with family members I got this cake. I was very excited and my eyes were filled with joyful tears. I’m literally glad as it was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.
