Sample Answer IELTS report, Band 8

IELTS Cambridge 14 Test 4 Task 1 SAMPLE ANSWER IELTS REPORT, BAND 8

The two plans are of a recreational ground known as Grande Park. The first plan shows the original layout, and the second plan shows the revamps in the park.

The park has seen considerable changes within its boundaries. These include replacement of key features such as the fountain, glasshouse and the pond with a central rose garden, water feature and a children’s play area, respectively. An amphitheatre has replaced the old stage. Besides, a new cafe and underground parking were constructed.

In 1920, a fountain stood at the centre of the park. Moving left along the Eldon street, one would come across two rose gardens with four seating areas. The rose gardens overlooked a small stage meant for musical performances. However, on the right of Eldon Street, a glass house for plants; a seating area; and a small pond were present. A rose garden used to be present next to the Arnold avenue gate.

Today, the park has a central rose garden with benches all around it. Moving left along the Eldon street, an open-air concert theatre and a rose garden form the main feature. An artificial waterfall and a playground take-up most of the area on the other end of the park.
